Meagan Shwetz’s Experience with Jelly Academy:
I’d like to start off by thanking Jelly Academy and BDC for this wonderful opportunity and the chance to learn more about digital marketing. I was so excited to hear I was eligible to receive the BDC Indigenous scholarship for the course and be able to build my skill set through the Digital Marketing Bootcamp with Jelly Academy. Without this scholarship, I would not have been able to take this course and advance my skills in the area of digital marketing. This scholarship has now opened more doors for me professionally and made me more confident about the marketing field.
The bonus sessions from BDC were also valuable and a great addition to the weekly lectures from Jelly Academy. These sessions allowed me to meet more professionals in the field of digital marketing and provided an opportunity to ask questions and learn from experts at BDC. I was also able to learn more about BDC services and programs, which I will likely be utilizing in the future.
Jelly Academy also provided me with technology upgrades through their partnership with Best Buy Canada which provides Indigenous students with the necessary technology to be successful in the course. It would have been a lot more challenging to complete the course without these necessary upgrades and I am very grateful for the support.
The skills and knowledge I’ve gained through Jelly Academy and the Digital Marketing course have been vital to my professional growth and I now have strategies I can apply to my future career. I am very thankful for this opportunity and I would recommend Jelly Academy and the BDC Indigenous scholarship to anyone who wants to strengthen their digital marketing skills or looking to grow their own business.
