Janessa Philemon-Kerp Receives Women in Digital Scholarship
About Janessa Philemon-Kerp
As an event producer turned web designer, digital marketing has always been an adjacent interest of mine in my career, but I’ve never found the right program to dive into.
Finally this past January, as I was beginning the transition to web design from event management, I signed up for the Jelly Academy digital marketing course (and couldn’t be happier!). I picked Jelly Academy for a few reasons:
Jelly Academy’s website is easy to navigate and had all the information I wanted. Being able to view the entire course syllabus let me know what exactly I’d learn. Speaking of -
The entire course syllabus! This course had everything I wanted to learn, and then some! I was particularly interested in the Google Analytics 4 (or GA4 as I learned the cool kids call it) and Email Marketing sessions. And there were sessions on topics I hadn’t previously considered but was looking forward to learning more about (like PR).
The micro-certifications - love the opportunity to get certified in so many different aspects of digital marketing!
The sessions were packed with knowledgeable experts, actionable items, demos, and a TON of information. The portal with the notes and quizzes were helpful, as were the cute little Kahoot quizzes in the sessions themselves.
I ended up launching a new business while taking this course, so I wasn’t able to spend as much time on outside-session certification as I planned/would have liked, but I appreciate the opportunity to spend time after the 7 week course diving in a little deeper.
