Indigenous Skills and Employment Training (ISET) Program
In 2019, the Government of Canada introduced the Indigenous Skills and Employment Training (ISET) Program. Through funding to Indigenous service delivery organizations, the ISET program is designed to help Indigenous people improve their skills and find employment. The ISET program includes four specific labour markets: First Nations, Inuit, Métis, and urban/non-Indigenous people. Based on the needs and priorities of these four markets, Indigenous service delivery organizations will offer a variety of services for training.
These organizations provide a suite of skills development and job training, from essential skills such as literacy and numeracy to more advanced training for in-demand jobs.
