My name is Bridgette Hill, and I'm from Old Massett Village Council on Haida Gwaii Island. I work for Stó:lō Community Futures (SCF) as an Administrative Assistant, but my role includes Social Media and Marketing.
Thank you, Jelly Academy, for rewarding me with the Indigenous scholarship for the Digital Marketing Bootcamp. I am very grateful and happy for the opportunity to be able to attend the Digital Marketing Bootcamp these past several weeks.
I enrolled in the Jelly Academy Digital Marketing Bootcamp to grow my digital marketing skills for my current position. I learned so much from the experts who taught the weekly classes and learned from my classmates as well. I learned about Search Engine Optimization, Social Media, Google Ads, Google Analytics, and more. Additionally, students can earn certificates that are eligible to be added to a resume, like Google Ads or Google Analytics certificates.
I learned about Social Media and Marketing techniques. Exploring the in-depth information about Google Analytics and how to put together a Social Media Strategy was impactful and empowering. This boot camp gave me the knowledge and tools to effectively track and analyze social media efforts and create a cohesive plan for promoting SCF's brand or services.
I love the community that Jelly Academy has for the students and that the instructors let students connect with them on LinkedIn in case students have questions after the bootcamp.
