When I applied for the Women in Digital Scholarship, (thinking it was such a long shot that I would win), part of the application process was a question asking how I would use this program to build women up in the future. In my previous career, I lifted women up by helping them fall in love with their hair. Making women feel confident and good about themselves on the outside was rewarding, but that was only on the surface. I wanted to empower women by helping them succeed in their businesses. After a leap of faith and a big career change, I applied for this scholarship. This program provided me with the skills and tools to feel confident in myself. I just took on my first client – a start-up company run by two amazing, hard-working women whom I want to help stand out and succeed.
Jelly Academy did not disappoint in the slightest! The topics covered, even though fast, were explained well with real-life applications. The instructors’ experience, knowledge, and expertise are an inspiration. I will be carrying on with their master class programs and look forward to an exciting career that will never permit me to sit still!
