Admissions and Student Success Coordinator
The Admissions Coordinator is the main point of contact for all course enrollment applicants, reporting directly to Jelly Academy’s Student Success Manager, they support the overall success of Jelly Academy by ensuring qualified and motivated applicants are admitted into the course and graduate successfully. Jelly Academy’s Admissions and Student Success Coordinator is responsible for delivering an exceptional experience for potential students with the objective of enrolling only those who have the best chance at succeeding in the course. Additionally, they will support students through the duration of the course and ensure all students complete course deliverables.
Required Skills and Attributes:
2+ years’ experience in an admissions (private training, college or university) or administrative related role is an asset
Brilliant client facing professional, with customer service experience
Excellent planning, organization, and time management skills
Proficient skills working in Excel
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Cultural competency for working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences
Personable and empathetic nature
Strong decision making skills
Self-motivated team player who has proven competence in a fast-paced environment
General understanding of Digital Marketing disciplines
Experience in a adult learning environment (ie. private training, college or university) is an asset
Responsibilities
The overall objective of the Admissions and Student Success Coordinator is to qualify applicants to ensure, if admitted, they have the best opportunity to succeed in the course. Additionally, they are responsible for nurturing students through the program to ensure deadlines are met and they complete the course.
Applicant Management:
Review applications to enroll in the course, including general applications and those applying for scholarships
Determine which applicants will be selected for the interview stage
Interview program applicants to verify their qualifications, commitment level and other qualities that would ensure they are a good fit to enroll in the course
Inform program applicants if their application to enroll in the course has been accepted or rejected, providing feedback to the applicant in either scenario
Check in with students individually each week with deadline reminders and progress updates
Support Student Success Manager with assignment grading, office hour sessions, student resumé review, and interview preparation as needed
Program Support:
Ensure flawless execution of applicants’ admissions experience from application submission, to interview, to acceptance or rejection
Maintain records of course applications, including contextual notes, and overall application status
Maintain records of student course progress, including attendance, assignment, certification, and quiz completions
Ensure flawless execution of the student learning experience from enrollment to course completion
Program Refinement and Audit:
Regularly review the effectiveness of the admissions and student support processes to ensure enhancements and success
Audit the effectiveness of the tools being used by the program to qualify applicants and student success
Apply creative, analytic, strategic problem-solving skills to improve the admissions and student success processes
Tools Support:
Work with the Operations Manager to refine the most effective use of tools in the admissions process
Work with the Student Success Manager to refine the most effective use of tools in the program
Research new tools to be explored as directed by the Operations Manager and Student Success Manager
Administration:
Maintain applicant files and records in electronic form
Report on the established KPIs
Other duties as assigned
Salary Range:
$50,000 - $60,000 per year
