NPower Canada provides employers with access to a pipeline of eager, diverse and job-ready talent with in-demand digital skills who are primed to succeed in the workplace. Graduates receive ongoing support and coaching to ensure continued success in their careers.

Overview

Jelly Academy’s Digital Marketing Bootcamp provides students with industry recognized micro credentials so future employers can feel confident that each graduate has the skills needed to do the jobs they are hiring for. Each Digital Bootcamp student has the opportunity to complete certifications in the top marketing tools and platforms such as Google, Meta, Hootsuite, SEMRush, and more.

A total of twenty students from NPower Canada were enrolled in Jelly Academy’s Digital Marketing Bootcamp in the Fall 2021 and Spring 2022 semesters. NPower Canada offered this opportunity for their students to ensure they are offering skills training for jobs in the new collar economy.

Throughout the course, students were taught the important aspects of social media, public relations & influencer marketing, SEO, Google Ads & Analytics, and Facebook & Instagram Ads, with the goal of preparing them for a career in the digital marketing industry.

Outcome

Out of the twenty NPower students who were enrolled in Jelly Academy, 15 are currently (at the time of this study) employed in digital-related roles. Organizations that the 15 alumni are currently employed at include: RBC, PlayStation, TD Canada Trust, Tucows, Mosaic, and Telus.

Their roles include titles such as: Digital Platform Support Advisor, E-Commerce Support Analyst, Database Administrator, Creative Director, and Account Manager.

Conclusion

With the NPower students having little to no prior experience in digital marketing, the outcome shows that Jelly Academy’s Digital Marketing Bootcamp launched the careers of 75% of the NPower students immediately into their desired field.
