At the end of every Jelly Academy semester, we are reminded of the impact that digital training opportunities have on the lives of our students. Whether it’s giving them the critical skills to facilitate their marketing role or improving their knowledge of more complex concepts, digital marketing training sets the stage for a successful future.

Jelly Academy aims to be an accessible method of digital marketing training by reaching and empowering a diverse audience of students. Living in a culturally rich place, such as Canada, our professionals should represent the people who work and live here. Championing diversity and promoting a more inclusive industry is what Jelly Academy is all about, whether that's through our scholarships or work with advisors, we strive to represent all Canadians in our classes.

For the Winter 2021 class, Jelly Academy invited several notable Canadian leaders to speak to our graduates and provide some parting words of wisdom. LinkedIn shows digital marketing roles are amongst the top 10 most in-demand roles, with more than 860,000 job openings. These individuals provided their time, advice, and insight into the current state of Canadian Marketing, including how graduates and new students can set forth to make an impact of their own.

The tech sector is growing, with 2029 expected to produce 75,000 new jobs in British Columbia alone. Digital Marketing skills are amongst the most in-demand skills in the workforce and will enable you to become part of a vibrant and wonderful sector. As graduates of this program, you will shape the future of this industry, so I encourage you to dream big and never stop learning. Your voice matters.
— Brenda Bailey, Parliamentary Secretary for Technology and Innovation and Member of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia (MLA):
The government is supporting the digital world through grants and other programs because we have to continue to invest in online connectivity. Remote and rural communities need to have access to the space, not only for business and networking, for mental health as well.
— John Aldag, Member of Parliament, Cloverdale:
In the context of this pandemic and in terms of embracing different ways of addressing Canadians, Jelly Academy is the exact kind of model we want to replicate around the country. People are gaining digital marketing skills and those skills are going to prove invaluable moving forward for several reasons. They make you automatically more “marketable” to the workforce, the skills are international in terms of their utility, and it enables diversity and inclusion. Thanks to this program, we can now locate and find work for 40 different indigenous graduates, which to me is exactly what we need to be doing.
— Arif Virani, Member of Parliament
In our world, we become ever progressively reliant on the ability to navigate digitally. It’s an ever-growing skill and it becomes increasingly more important and relevant each day. I congratulate you all on taking the time to acquire new skills, especially during such difficult times as the pandemic. You’ve graduated and completed this incredible journey and I look forward to hearing more about your journey.
— Megan Dykeman, MLA, Langley East, Legislative Assembly of British Columbia
